During the first Genealogies of Memory conference we could see the need amongst researchers – sociologists, historians, anthropologists and others – to redefine existing terms, debate the Eastern and Central Europe’s particularities and present results of their work. We would like to continue Genealogies of Memory project in order not to waste the potential engendered during conference and to incite more fruitful discussions.

Second edition of Genealogies of Memory conference will take place in the beginning of November 2012 in Warsaw. The Call for Papers will be announced in March 2012 on this website. Therefore, on behalf of organizers’ committee, I encourage all memory studies specialists to circulate this invitation and to take part in conference in November 2012.
